In 2008 Carl F. Bucherer achieved Manufacture status with the introduction of the CFB A1000 automatic winding movement with a peripheral rotor that combines the technical values of the central rotor with the visual advantages of the micro-rotor. The EvoTec DayDate is now available in a cushion-shaped case with a new steel bezel. Find wallpaper and pricing inside.

Beyond the peripheral rotor, the CFB A1000 caliber offers several other technical advances. The patented rotor mounting is assisted by DLC-coated rollers which are themselves mounted on ball bearings. The DLC coating provides a hardness exceeding 2,00 Vickers, which makes it several times harder than steel, the customary material used. The system requires no lubrication. The ball bearing/roller assemblies are mounted on rocking bars. Special springs allow highly accurate positioning of the rollers, and eccentrics ensure precise adjustment of the bars. A Dynamic Shock Absorption system prevents the holds the rotor in check evening during violent impacts. Adding further protection, the rotor’s power transmission wheel is mounted between two Incabloc systems.

The new Patravi EvoTec DayDate is available on a strap, priced at $13,900, and $16,900 on a steel bracelet. The images below may be enlarged with a click.
