Building on the success of the Iced Sea collection, Montblanc continues to push the boundaries of its technical prowess with the latest release unveiled at Watches and Wonders 2024, the Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810. With a water resistance rating of an astounding 4,810 meters, the Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810 is designed to withstand the extreme pressures of the deepest waters. The depth corresponds to the height of Mont Blanc.

The "icy" dials that have defined the original Iced Sea collection since its debut a couple of years ago, are further enhanced in this new model. This unique design is reminiscent of glistening ice formations. As with all Iced Sea models, the dial is inspired by the ice of one of the largest glaciers in the Mont Blanc massif, the Mer de Glace. Its ice formation, which has solidified unchanged for thousands of years to form an intricate network of crystals, gives depth and radiance to each dial. A special technique called gratté-boisé is used to achieve this. It goes without saying that the dial is coated with luminous material, emitting a blue glow reminiscent of blue ice in the dark.

In addition, the new model is equipped with Montblanc's "Zero Oxygen" technology, which is designed for use in harsh environments: the movements are encased in a nitrogen atmosphere so that there is no oxygen in the assembled watch. This not only prevents fogging up when exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, such as during deep sea diving, but also reduces oxidation of the internal metal parts and the degradation of the oils. In the absence of oxygen, all components last longer and maintain a consistent level of precision.

The Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810, which is driven by the automatic MB 29.29 caliber with five days of power reserve, is presented in a 43mm titanium case with an aluminum unidirectional rotating bezel. The case back features a three-dimensional engraving depicting the diver's perspective under the ice. The special effect is created by a three-dimensional colored relief created by laser-generated oxidation. This gives the metal an alternating matte and shiny finish, creating contrasts in both color and texture.

Pricing for the new Montblanc Iced Sea 0 Oxygen Deep 4810 is marked at approximately $9,500 when converted to USD.
