Showing at WatchTime New York 2023: Carl. F. Bucherer Manero Central Counter

Renowned Swiss watchmaker Carl F. Bucherer this month has updated one of their sportiest designs in their portfolio, releasing four new colorways of the brand’s Manero Central Counter. The original variation of the design saw its debut in the fall of last year, then released as a limited edition chronograph for those with an active lifestyle, from travelers, to outdoors enthusiasts, to urban adventurers.

Produced in a black colorway with forest green accents, the 2022 original spoke to a particular energy, while this latest expansion works to broaden the appeal of the timepieces, with the new color options including a blue edition, salmon, brown, and green—each produced with black accents. These new editions of the Manero Central Counter will serve as Carl. F. Bucherer’s highlights at this weekend’s WatchTime New York 2023 event, where over thirty-five incredible brands are set to showcase some of the most impressive watches of the year from October 20-22 at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall.

At the first glance, the Manero Central Counter impresses with its athletic character. Its carbon-coated bezel, black sub-dials displaying chronograph functionality, and a black hybrid rubber strap are a testament to its robust and sporty design, while a 42.5mm by 14.43mm steel case with modern stepped pushers anchor the design. Whether you are at the gym, dashing to your next meeting, or engaging in a casual city stroll, this watch would likely feel right at home.

Upon closer inspection, the intricate details and subtle colors of the timepieces reveal watches designed for versatility. The four natural-inspired colorways of the dial combined with a sunray-brushed finish, help the Manero Central Counter transcend leisure wear and blend into creative or dressier occasions, while the black accents and other dial details add the right amount of contrast to enhance a sense of elevation and intrigue in the aesthetic.

Beneath the exterior of the Manero Central Counter lies the CFB 1967 caliber. The automatic mechanism features a standard power reserve of 40-44 hours, with it displaying on the dial the running time, a 24-hour day / night indicator, chronograph, and date. A centrally mounted oscillating weight, inspired by CFB’s energy star logo, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

Pricing for the new Carl F. Bucherer Manero Central Counter chronographs is available upon request, but it is likely to reside around $8,400, which is the marking for the previous limited edition.
