LVMH Acquires Majority Stake in Bulgari

In a deal that was finalized last night, France’s LVMH will acquire the Bulgari family’s majority shareholding in Bulgari S.p.A. LVMH will issue 16.5 million shares in exchange for the 152.5 million Bulgari shares currently held by the Bulgari family, making them the second largest family shareholder of the LVMH Group. The deal is valued at €3.7 billion, or about $5.19 billion.

Bulgari Auction to Honor Save the Children

Bulgari will auction an exquisite jewelry and watch collection in December to celebrate their 125th anniversary. The collection is estimated to be worth $4 million and consists of 11 unique jewelry pieces and seven limited edition timepieces. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future campaign, which provides quality education for eight million children living in conflict-affected areas around the world. Efforts supporting the campaign are non-profit. Many well-known names have supported the cause.
