A Festival of Precious Colors: Bulgari Introduces High Jewelry Watches at LVMH Watch Week

“Time is a jewel” is Bulgari’s leitmotif at this year’s LVMH Watch Week which takes place in Singapore. In accordance with this motto, the Maison pulls out all the stops in terms of high jewelry watches, treating the ladies with precious executions of the Divas’ Dream, Allegra and Serpenti lines.

Celebrating their Roman home, the Bulgari craftsmen drew inspiration from the golden age of the Eternal City and the fan shape of the ginkgo leaf, depicted in the mosaics on the floor gracing Rome’s Baths of Caracalla. The two new Divas’ Dream Mosaica which are driven by the “solo tempo” self-winding manufacture caliber BVL 191 pay tribute to these ancient thermae. On their full-set dial, a fan-shaped pattern recalls the mosaics adorning the baths, with a subtle sapphire gradient ranging from pale pink to magenta for the rose gold version and from sky blue to deep azure for the white gold iteration. A polished gold decorative fillet rims this design, against a background of brilliant-cut diamonds. Vividly coloured gems light up the hours on the bezel and crown set with cabochon-cut diamonds.

The Divas’ Dream Mosaica Pink Sapphire debuting in a 37-mm rose gold case is fitted with a purple alligator leather featuring a gold and diamond folding clasp. The design of the bracelet’s gemset lugs echoes the dial motifs.

The Divas’ Dream Mosaica Blue Sapphire with blue sapphires and white gold case is paired with a spectacular bracelet created by Bulgari’s goldsmiths. Each of its fan-shaped links sparkles with a profusion of diamonds.

Two new quartz-driven Allegra timepieces beautifully highlight Bulgari’s expertise in haute joaillerie by disrupting traditional ideas of gem-set watches and expressing joie de vivre in a most colorful way. A “cocktail” of colorful gems – tourmalines, citrines, rhodolites and peridots – in a variety of joyful shapes, associated with pink or yellow sapphires, frame the diamond-set bezel and mother-of-pearl dials with diamond markers.
