IWC’s “For the Love of Cinema” at Cannes


iwccannes150IWC mingled with movie stars at the Cannes International Film Festival last weekend, hosting an exclusive “For the Love of Cinema” dinner on May 19th. About 200 guests were in attendance, including actors and “friends of the brand” Naomi Watts and Christoph Waltz. Hollywood screenwriter Alan Trustman, known for classic films such as “The Thomas Crown Affair”, “Bullitt” and “They Call Me Mister Tibbs!”, won IWC’s Filmmaker Award, which the brand traditionally presents at various film festivals in recognition of special achievement. IWC CEO Georges Kern also presented Trustman with a special IWC Portuguese Chronograph Classic (Ref. 3904), with “For the Love of Cinema” engraved on the caseback.

In addition to its participation in the Cannes International Film Festival, IWC is also official partner of the Dubai International Film Festival, a sponsor of the Beijing International Film Festival, and most recently, Official ‘Festival-Time’ Partner at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
