The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing Hits the Road

TAG Heuer and Porsche once again highlight their shared passion for racing through a collaboration timepiece. After five successful timepieces that have delighted fans of both brands, they are now introducing the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing, which is already the sixth creation for which the car and watch maker joined forces.

Based on the famous Carrera Sport Chronograph, the debutante is powered by the self-winding in-house Caliber Heuer 02, which is manufactured at TAG Heuer’s Chevenez facility. Consisting of 168 parts, it features a column wheel and a vertical clutch for precise measurement and offers a power reserve of 80 hours. Its customized rotor mimics a steering wheel and comes to life through the exhibition case back.

As a symbol for speed and racing, the orange color that is inscribed in the name, accentuates the Porsche logo on the bezel, the lacquer on the crown and various details on the dial, such as the “azuré” counters and the seconds hand, as well as the stitching of the textured black calfskin leather strap.

The bright color makes for bold contrasts with the DLC treated stainless steel case which measures 44mm in diameter, is water resistant to 100 meters, and boasts a ceramic tachymeter bezel for measuring distances.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing will be available beginning in February 2023. Pricing was not yet known at the time of publication.

Very nice, but I don’t see azure anywhere. Maybe I need new glasses.

  2. Too busy, too large and most likely to overpriced. The last thing I would be doing when driving 100 MPH plus on my Porsche 911 is trying to use or adjust a chronograph regardless of the make.
