In April 2017, 12 WatchTime readers from five countries traveled to Switzerland to visit eight watch brands —a trip that turned out to be a “lifetime experience” for some of the participants. The good news for watch lovers: We’ve already planned our next readers’ trip to Switzerland, which will take place in April 2018.

The Participants of WatchTime’s 2017 Reader Trip in Front of Vacheron Constantin’s HQ in Geneva
70/70
The one-week trip will start with a welcome dinner on Sunday, April 22, 2018. There you will get the chance to meet and share your passion with watch lovers from around the world; last year’s amazing journey through these Swiss manufacturers inspired the entire group of guests to sign up for another WatchTime reader’s trip, this one exploring the watch brands of Glashütte, Germany.
During the week, WatchTime will guide you through the workshops of eight Swiss brands: Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe, Blancpain, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Ulysse Nardin, TAG Heuer and Girard-Perregaux. With WatchTime, you’ll get access to haute horlogerie facilities that only a select few collectors have seen in person. You’ll see how watches are designed and how movements are assembled. You’ll see how cases are produced and how hands find their places on the dials of some of the world’s most adored timepieces.
Not only will you get to observe how watches are made; you’ll also have the chance to work as a watchmaker yourself — with opportunities to take part in special watchmaking workshops and live sessions during the trip. Click through the gallery above for scenes from WatchTime’s last reader’s trip to Switzerland. To sign up for next year, and for all other details on the upcoming trip, click here.
