Comrades in Camo: G-Shock Introduces Two Limited Editions in New Camouflage-Print Cases

On the heels of its latest MR-G models inspired by ancient Japanese armor and swords, G-SHOCK turns to a different type of military influence for its latest limited editions. Its latest metal connected timepieces — one in its classic, digital-display GMWB5000 style, the other in the fashion-forward, analog MT-G series — feature new, one-of-a-kind camouflage print motifs on their cases and bracelets.

Both watches are engineered to offer sophisticated style in a tough exterior. The newest version of the GMWB5000TCM-1 has its square case and bezel made in robust but lightweight titanium and covered in a laser camouflage print. The dial’s STN digital display is designed for high contrast and visibility at higher angles. The same camo-print motif distinguishes the new MTGB1000DCM-1 model, whose round case is reinforced by carbon fiber within a stainless steel core guard structure.

Both watches are loaded with G-SHOCK’s highest-level premium features, including Two-Way Time Sync technology, which combines Bluetooth connectivity and Multi-Band 6 self-adjusting atomic timekeeping for accurate timekeeping and date display virtually anywhere in the world, along with G-SHOCK’s renowned Tough Solar technology, which enables the watch to constantly recharge itself fro light sources without the need for a change of batteries.

Among the built-in tools of the GMWB5000TCM-1 are four daily alarms, a 1/100th-second chronograph, and a multilingual day/month display. The MTGB1000DCM-1 makes a statement with its complex analog dial under a sapphire crystal and its use of G-SHOCK’s Triple G Resist technology, which renders it shock-resistant enough to stand up to the toughest of activities. Both timepieces are equipped with an array of functions and attributes typical of G-SHOCK watches, including 200-meter water resistance and exceptional shock resistance; fully automatic Super Illuminator LED light (on the MTGB1000DCM) or backlight (on the GMWB5000TCM); a daily alarm, a countdown timer, a full auto calendar, and world-time displays for 39 time zones in 27 cities worldwide.
