Watch Wallpaper: 5 Footballers And Their Hublot Watches

Falcao wearing HublotAs part of its “Hublot Loves Football” campaign, the Hublot watch company   enlisted Swiss photographer Fred Merz to snap portraits of soccer legends of today and yesteryear, with each one featuring both a Hublot watch and the brand’s World Cup symbol, a soccer ball painted and decorated by Brazilian artist Romero Britto.

Merz traveled far and wide to produce the series, which features Hublot watch “ambassadors” and “friends of the brand” from the world of international soccer, aka football. For example, the acknowledged “King of Football,” Pelé, was filmed in a fashionable Ipanema Hotel in Rio, while “The Special One,” current Chelsea coach José Mourinho, was photographed in a shadowy basement during a visit to the Hublot watch manufacture in Nyon, Switzerland. In other shots, members of various teams were depicted on their home turf. We’ve collected five of these images as downloadable wallpaper for your desktop.

  1. If Hublot thinks that advertising a useless-to-society footballer would make me buy a watch, they need to think again. It’s a complete detraction and makes me avoid such companies altogether.

    The money they waste…

I don’t even like Omega parading around George Clooney on their ads.

  2. Gadgety

Great. However, it doesn’t seem that the score technology watches worn by the referees in the the actual games are from Hublot. Too bad.
