Vacheron Constantin takes to the streets with the new Overseas Chronograph, a tribute to the golden age of motor races in the 1960s. Clad in stainless steel, the 42.5mm case offers pressure resistance up to 15 bars. It features a reverse Panda dial with black velvet finished subdials, all set against a silver-toned, sunburst finished background, and framed by a likewise black seconds scale on the flange.
The date is indicated through a color-coordinated window between 4 and 5 o’clock. Like the previous executions of this luxury chronograph, including the premiere example from 1999 and the latest design update from 2016, it is powered by the self-winding in-house Caliber 5200.
Endowed with a column-wheel control and a vertical clutch, the movement offers a power reserve of 52 hours and bears the prestigious Geneva Seal. Its meticulous finishing quality and 22K gold oscillating weight adorned with a compass rose and can be admired through the sapphire case back.
The Overseas Chronograph is attached to a metal bracelet mimicking the Maltese cross shape and comes with two additional straps, one in leather, one in rubber.
