JLC Embraces Communications Technology for SIHH 2010

Jaeger-LeCoultre will take the members of its online community on an unprecedented technological journey during the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH). The journey begins on January 18 with the unveiling of an exceptional new timepiece. This video hints that it may be something rugged.

At 4.15 p.m. on January 19 Geneva time, Jaeger-LeCoultre will open the doors of the SIHH with a live Webcast given by the brand’s Marketing Director, Stéphane Belmont. The 30-minute talk will be followed by a live blog, which will allow members of the Jaeger-LeCoultre online community to ask questions about the brand’s new collection.

JLC fans will also be able to consult a website created especially for the Salon throughout the week that will publish statements by key participants in this adventure, characterized by watchmaking innovation, research and the newest Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces.

Two cutting-edge IT tools will also be available at the Salon:

– A TAG, available from the Jaeger-LeCoultre stand, that allows iPhone users to download the Jaeger-LeCoultre iPhone application from the App Store.

– An innovative window display composed of four 3D screens completes this technological journey. A series of animated images suspended in space will highlight the main technical features of the Salon‘s most innovative timepiece.
