Sponsored: The New Rat Pack Timepiece Joins Bulova’s Frank Sinatra Collection

Once again paying tribute to the legacy of Frank Sinatra, Bulova has launched its latest timepiece to join its classically inspired, eponymous collection for the legendary musician. Dubbed the Rat Pack timepiece, the latest member of Bulova’s Frank Sinatra collection captures the fun and showmanship that was associated with the original Rat Pack, an informal group of entertainers that included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford, among others. As with each previous edition in the Frank Sinatra collection, the new Rat Pack will help Bulova’s continued support of the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts.

The Rat Pack timepiece is inspired by the spirit of Las Vegas, where members of the namesake group often collaborated in high energy performances. In style, the watch takes key influences from a vintage 1960s Bulova watch which itself featured a striking sunray brushed gold dial with etched marked and a distinct case shape. The new timepiece joins an array of other timepieces in the modern Frank Sinatra collection, each also inspired by other watches from the 1950’s and 1960’s alongside unmistakable branding elements of the famed musician.

On the wrist, the watch measures 40mm in stainless steel, with a conical crown, a straightforward pair of lugs, and a fine use of polishing providing an elevated canvas for the dial. The display itself is quickly reminiscent of ‘60s Bulova timepieces, with its sectored style featuring an etched gold-tone outer area surrounding a record cut black center dial, together resulting in a dynamic, textured surface for a 3 o’clock date window and pair of Alpha-style hands. Clean and simple, but bold through and through, the spirit of the Rat Pack is exuded through its look.

The Rat Pack is secured to the wrist via a black alligator grain leather strap. Then inside the watch is a self-winding movement with 21 jewels and a power reserve of 42 hours. The movement is partially visible via a commemorative exhibition case back, with it featuring the Rat Pack logo and signatures of Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin.

The new Bulova Rat Pack watch is limited to 5,000 editions, with pricing marked at $795. The timepiece is available now via authorized retailers and via Bulova’s online store.
