Norqain Marks a Two-Tone Premier with the Adventure Neverest 41mm GMT Steel & Gold LE

At the start last fall, Norqain capitalized upon the success of its Adventure Neverest collection launched earlier in the year with the debut of its first follow-up, the Adventure Neverest GMT. To start this year, Norqain once again places its focus on the hardy collection, now launching its latest expansion via the new Adventure Neverest 41mm GMT Steel & Gold Limited Edition.

The watch takes its foremost cues from the design first established in the original 2021-launch (below), with the new two-tone novelty recalling a supremely sporty style particularly geared towards the travel watch category. In this regard, the watch features a namesake 41mm case diameter, complete with a pair of guards flanking a screw-down crown helping offer a 100m water resistance, elongated lugs connecting to a four-link steel bracelet or ultra-soft rubber strap, and the use of primarily brushed finishing throughout with luxurious accents of polishing for contrast.

While the sillehoute of the new watch is familiar to previous Norqains, the Steel & Gold is foremost differentiated by its namesake use of two-tone materials and GMT functionality. Of note, the Adventure Neverest 41mm GMT Steel & Gold marks the first two-tone watch launched by the brand since the Adventure Sport Chrono Day/Date 41mm Limited Edition, with the latest novelty like the previous also limited to 100 total editions.

Taking a closer look, the case of the GMT is made unique via its use of a black-accented 18k red gold bidirectional-rotating bezel, with the 24-hour scale upon it helped turned via a knurled edge grip. This colorway is once more channeled on the dial, where upon a familiar black Norqain-signature crosshatch-textured look more red gold features are at work alongside accents of X1 Superluminova. A fixed inner 24-hour scale, 3 o’clock date window, and red-accented GMT hand add to the watch’s daily and travel functionality, while a pair of sword hands and arrow-tipped seconds counter work to keep track of the running time.

Inside the new Steel & Gold is Norqain’s manufacture Caliber NN20/2, a widely praised mechanism produced in partnership with Tudor-Founded Kenissi and first unveiled last year in the Freedom 60 GMT.  The chronometer-certified automatic movement stores an incredibly convenient 70-hour power reserve and is visible behind a sapphire caseback, with the brand’s core values of “Adventure – Freedom – Independence” engraved upon the bridges.

As is the theme for the collection, the new watch continues the charitable spirit of the Norqain to honor the region and people for which the Adventure Neverest series is inspired. As such, 10% of the earnings from the sales of Adventure Neverest watches will benefit the Butterfly Help Project. The non-profit was founded by Norbu Sherpa and Andrea Sherpa-Zimmermann of Wild Yak Expeditions, with a focus on assisting the families of their fellow Sherpas who have lost their lives in the Himalayan mountains and give their children access to education.

The Norqain Adventure Neverest 41mm GMT Steel & Gold Limited Edition is available now via authorized dealers and directly through the brand, with pricing marked at $5,500 on the steel bracelet, and $5,290 on the rubber strap. The total production will be limited to 100 editions.
