Motor Meets Rotor in Chopard’s Annual Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph

As an official timing partner of the legendary Mille Miglia classic car race since 1988, it has been a fine tradition at Chopard for 35 years to present annual editions of select chronographs that combine state-of-the-art mechanics combined with unmistakable vintage elegance, and 2023 is no exception to that. At 40.5 millimeters in diameter, this year’s limited edition of 1,000 pieces, the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph, comes in Chopard’s stainless steel alloy Lucent steel and in a slightly smaller size. It is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The easy-to-read and luminescent dial with a tri-compax layout, a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock and tachymeter scale is protected by a boxed sapphire crystal, which further highlights the unique retro-style. Naturally, the small red Mille Milglia flag cannot be missed on it.

Other details that refer to the classic car theme are the easy-grip, mushroom-style chronograph pushers and the crown engraved with a steering wheel, as well as the bold Dunlop rubber strap. The power inside is provided by a C.O.S.C. chronometer-certified automatic caliber. In addition to this variant, Chopard offers the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph with colored dials and in a two-tone execution.

Pricing for the new Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph is marked at $8,830.
