Longines Launches Flagship Heritage Extensions With Beautiful Moonphase

Channelling refined design with high precision, Longines‘ Flagship line was one of the brand’s most sought-after timepieces in the 1950s. This winning combination of first class mechanics and elegance has hardly changed over the last sixty years. Now, the winged hourglass brand extends the collection with three particularly stunning executions, each of which has its own charisma.

They share the distinctive domed dials inspired by the original 1957 watch, this tine taking shape in silvered opaline, sunray silver or sunray blue. The dial is complete with eleven applied hour markers, gilt or silvered, elongated at 3, 9 and 12 o’clock. The hours and minutes hands are coated with Superluminova for optimum readability, even in the dark.

It goes without saying that the moon phase takes center stage at 6 o’clock. The astronomic complication includes a refined pointer date. Its hand is the same color as the moon disk and the hour indexes as well as the hour, minute and second hands.

With an understated, timeless design, the stainless steel case has a screw-down back and measures 38.5mm in diameter. It features shortened chamfered lugs to improve the wearing comfort. The emblem of the Flagship Heritage collection, a caravel on a gold medallion, is embossed on the watch’s screw-down back.

The timepiece is powered by the L899.5 self-winding movement with a silicon balance-spring, offering resistance to magnetic fields and superior precision. It has a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.

Pricing for the Longines Flagship Heritage is marked at $3,050.
