Showing at WatchTime New York 2023: Chopard L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire

Chopard, a name synonymous with elegance and precision in jewelry and watches, has once again pushed the boundaries of horological excellence with its latest creation, the L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire. As a brand known for its commitment to its craft, Chopard’s L.U.C collection in particular embodies the fusion of tradition and innovation in watchmaking, with this uncommon minute repeater standing as its latest testament.

Like watches from over thirty other incredible maisons, the model will serve as Chopard’s highlight at the upcoming WatchTime New York 2023 event, taking place from October 20th to 22nd at Manhattan’s prestigious Gotham Hall. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire up close and immerse yourself in the world of haute horlogerie.

The L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire boasts a case that is quickly captivating. Crafted from blue sapphire, the case, integrated crown-pusher, and dial are cut from blocks of the notoriously difficult-to-work-with material. The 42.5mm diameter case features an intense blue hue achieved through meticulous dosing of chromium and rare earth elements, offering a 360-degree view of the meticulously finished, minute-repeating movement within. The horological marvel notably carries the prestigious Poinçon de Genève quality hallmark, referencing the quality of both the design and finishing of the movement and the case.

The sapphire dial of the L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire works to enhance legibility with its unique design. A railway-type minute track is engraved on the sapphire directly and painted, ensuring that the indication elements are clear and easy to read. Rhodium-plated herringbone-shaped hour markers and black transferred components add to the dial’s visual appeal. The concentric power-reserve indicator, with two hands indicating energy levels, adds a functional and aesthetic element to the display.

At the heart of the L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire lies the mechanical hand-wound L.U.C 08.01-L movement, comprising 533 components and 63 jewels. This movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph and boasts a power reserve of 60 hours. Its mainplate and bridges are made of untreated nickel silver, adorned with a Côtes de Genève motif, together helping showcase the brand’s incredible detailing. Notably, this movement is equipped with patented resonant sapphire gongs, ensuring exceptional tonal richness and acoustic intensity during the minute repeater’s chiming.

The new Chopard L.U.C Full Strike Sapphire is limited to five total editions, with pricing available upon request.
