Richard Mille first entered the world of professional golf when it created a watch for Bubba Watson; now the brand enters the world of women’s golf in its new partnership with the Lacoste Ladies Open. Italian golf champion Diana Luna has also signed on as Richard Mille’s latest spokesperson and the brand’s first female athlete partner. Ranked number one in her country, Luna has been a professional golfer since 2002.
When on the greens, including at the Lacoste Ladies Open from September 26 to 29, Luna will wear an RM 007 Titanium. Richard Mille will be the “Major Partner” of this tournament, which is also known as the French Ladies Open.
In addition to joining the French Open, which is held every year at the Golf of Chantaco in Saint Jean de Luz, France, the brand will also lend its name to the pre-tournament Pro-Am on the 25th of September. For the three days of the event, the 78 best European female players will compete, with the winner taking home a ladies’ RM 007 Titanium watch, a one-off piece crafted with a white crown and white rubber strap, and engraved with the ‘Lacoste Ladies Open 2013’ tournament name on the case middle.
