Armin Strom’s Tourbillon Tour

p150Biel-based watch manufacture Armin Strom have recently created their own in-house tourbillon movement, and are kicking off a global tour to showcase their latest calibre, the ATC11, which is a manual movement with a 10 day power reserve, and a collection of new timepieces. The tour began in Interlaken, on October 25th, 2012. On the tour, they will be presenting their “coffret tourbillon,” a collection of four watches featuring the ATC11 tourbillon movement, with the tourbillon situated at the 9 o’clock position and a lever made of 18k white gold. The design of each of the four watches is inspired by one of the elements: earth, air, fire, and water. Each stop of the tour will highlight a different piece: the Earth element watch was featured in the Interlaken part of the tour in the Burmese alps, Fire will be shown in Dubai, Air in Singapore, and Water, on the shores of the pacific ocean, in Los Angeles
