For 2009 Seiko has re-engineered the Sportura collection. Familiar elements like black dials, anti-reflective sapphire crystals and red and orange accents remain, but the designs have been refined. The collection includes 9 new creations using quartz and Kinetic calibers. The Kinetic Direct Drive model shown here is the leading model in the line.
This is the first time Seiko has incorporated a Kinetic Direct Drive movement in a Sportura model. The Sportura Kinetic Direct Drive power reserve indicator provides instant feedback as the kinetic energy of your movements is converted into electricity that is stored to power the timepiece. Of course you can also boost the power via the restyled winding crown with deep grooves to ensure a good grip. High legibility is assured by the jet black dial, high-contrast hands, and the anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The Sportura Kinetic Direct Drive keeps time to within 1 second per day, and it is water resistant to 100 meters. The MSRP in Euro is 990 on strap and 1040 on bracelet.
