Update: WatchTime Los Angeles 2022

Sometimes, being ahead of the time clearly isn’t an advantage: After much deliberation, the team at WatchTime has decided to postpone WatchTime Los Angeles (previously planned for May 2022) until further notice. The decision came following a series of visits by the WatchTime events team to the Downtown Los Angeles area, and after repeated conversations with local collectors, partners, and – most importantly – watch brands, which altogether led to the decision to postpone the show. In short, Downtown LA has been hit harder by the COVID-19 crisis than nearly any other Los Angeles neighborhood, and a lot of the brands were just returning from the recent Watches & Wonders show and/or not yet ready for a large-scale event in the area.

“WatchTime Los Angeles 2019 made a truly fantastic debut three years ago. Having set the bar that high, we owe it to our guests to follow this success post-pandemic with an unforgettable show that safely reunites top watch brands with collectors and enthusiasts from the West Coast. While interest from collectors was promising, we have come to the conclusion that we weren’t there yet with the setup we had. In short: WatchTime LA will return, but we want it to be at least as good as the first edition.”

While difficult, the decision was made in the best interest of WatchTime readers, collectors, and the sponsors that had committed, and was ultimately made to ensure the continued, exceptional quality of WatchTime events.

As of now, ticket sales for the LA event have been paused, and all previously sold tickets will be refunded. WatchTime’s team also continues to work on alternative formats in the area, and will announce updates as they develop.
