WATCHTIME RODEO DRIVE

Scenes from WatchTime’s Rodeo Drive Collectors’ Event

WatchTime, in partnership with Rodeo Drive and 11 watch boutiques, hosted a unique watch collectors’ event on June 7 in Beverly Hills: 150 invited guests were treated to an extraordinary watch experience at the “epicenter of luxury, fashion and lifestyle.” Read on for more info and a gallery of event photos.

The participating brands included Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Hublot, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Porsche Design, Richard Mille, and Vacheron Constantin, along with watch retailers Westime and David Orgell with Tutima and Corum. Whiskey and Old Fashioned tastings were presented by Four Roses, sparkling wine was provided by Ferrari Trento from Italy.

During the evening, watch collectors and enthusiasts were able to discover a wide range of models from the brands’ current collections, see the latest releases from the shows in Geneva and Basel — like the Marine Équation Marchante 5887 from Breguet and the Luminor Submersible BMG-TECH from Panerai  and learn everything about ultra-rare watches like the iconic Opus 14 from Harry Winston, the Astronomia Tourbillon from Jacob & Co. and the Legacy Machines from MB&F, to name just a few. Additionally, many of the boutiques – such as Hublot‘s and Audemars Piguet‘s – had their boutique-exclusive collections on display and offered watchmaking demonstrations and wine and spirits tastings.

“How wonderful an evening it was…” said one guest. “Very well organized, lots of new watches and existing collections to look at, drinks, food and fun. Really couldn’t have been better.”

Whilst boutique and brand staff, including Vacheron Constantin’s new President of the Americas Leslie Kobrin, and Breguet‘s Brand President Peter Kramer, were on site to welcome their guests, noted watch collector and WatchTime event partner Jeff Kingston highlighted the most important timepieces during the evening. WatchTime’s Publisher Sara Orlando, Event Manager Minda Larsen and Editor-in-Chief Roger Ruegger made sure that guests didn’t miss out on a chance to talk watches, nor the chance to win the Corum Bubble watch that was given away at the end of the evening.

  4. I’m so sorry I missed it! I RSVP’d but had an appointment I couldn’t shift. Please do another event in Southern California – and think about South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, since so many top manufacturers have boutiques there and it’s conveniently midway between LA and San Diego in affluent Orange County.
