On September 22nd at Yankee stadium, Hublot U.S. President Beatrice De Quervain and Roberto Chiappelloni of Manfredi Jewels presented Alex Rodriguez with a one-of-a-kind Big Bang King Power Black Magic created in honor of A Rod’s 600th home run. At 35 years old, the Yankee star is the youngest player to reach 600, and he is one of only six Major Leaguers to achieve this milestone.

The Big Bang King Power Black Magic features a black ceramic case and bezel with a matching black dial and superluminova markers. The 48mm timepiece has a split second timer, power reserve and has been produced in only 500 pieces worldwide. The watch presented to A Rod was customized for the occasion by etching Alex’s signature on the sapphire glass, and showing the Yankee colors and the number 600 commemorating the achievement.

Rodriguez received this unique timepiece at a packed Yankee stadium before the Tampa Bay Rays game. “It is such an incredible honor to acknowledge one of the greatest athletes of our time,” says Roberto Chiappelloni, owner of Manfredi Jewels. “We wanted to honor Alex in a very special way because it is an important event in Yankees history.”

“At Hublot we love to salute great achievements and there is no doubt that Alex’s home runs show what a committed and consistent athlete he is,” says Beatrice De Quervain, Hublot U.S. president. “We hope he enjoys this unique Hublot timepiece, especially created to honor his success.”
