Unlike most athletic brand ambassadors who don their watches after their events have ended, golf’s longest hitter Bubba Watson and World #1 tennis star Rafael Nadal wear their Richard Mille timepieces while they compete, demonstrating that Mille’s ultra-complicated movements can handle tough duty. Bubba and Rafa also win.
On April 17th, Rafael Nadal claimed his seventh straight victory on the clay courts of Monte Carlo. Nadal won against fellow Spaniard David Ferrer in two sets while wearing the Richard Mille RM 027 Tourbillon on his right wrist. Later this month, the 24-year-old is a favorite to seize his tenth grand slam title at the French Open at Roland Garros.
On May 1st, Bubba Watson won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, his third PGA Tour title in ten months. The win pushed Watson to the number one spot on the FedEx Cup rankings, and put him in the top 10 in the world. Bubba’s victory came while wearing his Richard Mille RM 038 Tourbillon on a distinctive white strap.
