Nomos Glashütte Sets Sail With Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand

At the height of summer, Nomos Glashütte announces two additions to its Ahoi product family. As the names suggest, the Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand feature light blue and sand-colored dials that are luminescent for easy readability in all light conditions. They are distinguished by alternating hour markers and Arabic numerals that are characteristic for the watch family.

The prominent date windows and slightly recessed subsidiary seconds match these intriguing hues and lend a new twist to the German brand’s sports watch. The latest execution remains water-resistant to 200 meters despite having a scaled-down case size of 38.5mm. Another impressive engineering achievement is the svelte height of 9.9mm, which includes two sapphire crystals, one of which protects the dial and the other one covers the case back.

At the heart of the Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand beats the genuine automatic movement DUW6101. Introduced in 2018, this self-winding caliber offers a notable prominent date, including a quick-date correction mechanism.

It utilizes the Swing System, Nomos Glashütte’s proprietary escapement. As is bon ton for the Saxon watchmaker, the movement’s intricate details, including Glashütte ribbing, perlage, and sunburst polish, come to life through the exhibition case back.

The two newcomers are attached to woven straps in blue-black or dark grey. Pricing for the Nomos Glashütte Ahoi Neomatik 38 Date Sky and Sand starts at $4,320.
