In Memoriam: Steven Kaiser

The watch industry lost one of the greats. Steven Kaiser passed away suddenly on May 20th leaving behind his wife Vivian and their two children. He was just 68.

Steven has long been a fixture in the watch industry starting out in 1982 when he began working with his father, Ben. Together they grew Baume & Mercier’s presence in North America. After much success with brand building, Steven would go on to start Kaiser Time, a consultancy firm for the watch brands and retailers.  Along with his associate Diane James, he was instrumental in launching Swiss Watch by JCK in 2005 and, then, would become US president and CEO of Kennedy, an international retailer.

Steven was very well respected in the industry and a staple at all of the watch events and shows. If you were to place any bets in Las Vegas, it would be to see Steven Kaiser walking the halls of JCK and Couture with a huge smile on his face.
