Frederique Constant Announces Two Additional Variants of the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture

Following the success of the 150-piece limited version of the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture in pink gold unveiled at this year’s Watches and Wonders, Frederique Constant now announced two additional executions of this statement piece in polished stainless steel. Limited to 350 pieces each, they are presented with a sunray silver and blue watch face.

While the silver execution is entirely monochromatic, the blue rendition’s hour and minute hands and diamond-cut indices shine in a silver hue. This very elegant and subdued setting makes for a perfect backdrop for the minute tourbillon taking center stage at 6 o’clock. The beautifully finished mechanism incorporates a central seconds hand including a stop-seconds function.

Part of the self-winding FC-980 genuine movement which was first introduced 15 years ago, the individual production number is marked on its cage. Like the previous pink gold execution, the two newcomers measure 39mm in diameter and have a height of 10.99mm.

Both examples feature an exhibition case back that showcases the elaborate finishing quality, such as circular graining, Geneva Waves, and chamfering. It is also noteworthy that the FC-980 is equipped with a non-magnetic silicon escapement wheel and anchor.

Pricing for the Frederique Constant Classic Tourbillon Manufacture is marked at approximately $16,000 when converted to USD.
