Introduced in the year 2005, Only Watch is a biannual event which culminates in a charity auction, courtesy of Christie’s, to support the medical research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The event will kick off in Monaco this year from the 25thto the 28thSeptember, and will come to a close in Geneva from the 7thto the 9th of November with the auction.
Keeping with the tradition, many brands from the watch industry participate in Only Watch with unique pieces which they submit for the auction. This year will see Jaeger-LeCoultre unveil the Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel Chestnut special edition for the charity event.
Featuring a hand-guillochéd enamel dial in an eye-catching chestnut brown color, the 39-mm timepiece displays a new perpetual calendar design at 12 o’clock. The moon-phase very subtly maintains its presence at 6 o’clock and indicates the moon’s waxing and waning phases in both the hemispheres. The 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock positions feature indications for the date and day, respectively, with the date counter completely engraved. This unique edition comes equipped with the automatic 868A/2 movement, boasting a power reserve of 70 hours, and on display through an exhibition caseback.
