Casio introduces the latest addition to G-Shock’s G-Steel line: the reference GSTB100GB-1A9. The design weds refined metallic flare with intrinsic toughness.
The watch features a bold gold-hued brushed IP Bezel and indexes that offset the darkness of the black dial and add a touch of glamour to this fans’ favorite. As with the entire G-Shock collection, the watch boasts tried-and-tested qualities like 200-meter water resistance, a full calendar, world-time, and GMT functionalities.
With chronograph functionality, the black dial highlights a rotary turbine sub-dial at the 9 o’clock position, doubling as the watches solar charge level indicator. The dial also indicates Bluetooth capabilities that enable connectivity to the G-Shock Connected app. This feature expands many of the timepiece’s features with built-in Smartphone Link functions such as simple time setting, timestamp with location, and a phone finder function.
The new model also includes advanced technical capabilities like Tough Solar Technology, made possible by the inclusion of a highly resilient film-like solar panel on the dial that allows the watch to convert power from even the weakest light sources. Last but not least, the high brightness LED light display ensures visibility in the dark.
