The dial consists of two skeletonized layers. The lower dial is decorated with côtes de Genève and carries the Linde Werdelin logo. The upper dial is in a rose- gold color and features luminous indices as well as the three diamond-cut, rose-gold-treated hands. The numerals on the skeletonized, black calendar wheel are extra-large for easy reading of the date.
The SpidoLite II Black Gold contains automatic Caliber LW 04, custom-made for the brand by Concepto, an independent movement manufacturer based in the Swiss watchmaking hub of La Chaux-de-Fonds. The movement, which has a power reserve of 42 hours, is visible through the dial as well as through the sapphire caseback. The front and back of the movement are finished with a circular perlage and engraved with Linde Werdelin’s Spido emblem. The rotor, in black PVD, is adorned with the Linde Werdelin logo in rose-gold type. Linde Werdelin chose to use all blued steel screws in the movement, both for their high anti-corrosive properties and for their aesthetic beauty.
The watch, whose case is water-resistant to 100 meters, comes on a black, textured calfksin strap with anthracite stitching and an ardillon buckle. It retails for 11,200 Swiss francs; prices in other currency are available on request.
