Video: Inside the Winding System of Breguet’s La Tradition Tourbillon

Since 2003, Breguet has instituted four major expansions of its Vallée de Joux workshops. In its newest wing, Breguet has organized its watchmakers into specialty groups, including one dedicated specially to tourbillons.

Tourbillon watches are a key pillar of Breguet’s patrimony as it was the brand’s founder, Abraham-Louis Breguet, who invented the tourbillon in the late 18th century and who gave it its name. The following video takes a close look at the winding system of the Breguet La Tradition Tourbillon and explains how its barrel, chain, and fusee work together.
