    Apple introduced the Apple watch in September 2014, and the smartwatch instantly took a top spot among the most popular watches in terms of press coverage, social media publicity and user demand. It was the first watch of Apple’s smartwatch line, the second generation was released in September 2016.

    Apple has launched its smartwatch shortly after Samsung and a number of other tech companies introduced their own smartwatches. Such electronic wrist watches are set to disrupt the watch market and have a number of features – among them apps for health, fitness, communication, photos, videos, phone calls and messaging. The Apple watch models are available in various sizes and can be equipped with different Apple watch straps.
