Mapping Time & Space: Bovet’s Recital 18 “The Shooting Star”

Bovet, which showed its newest timepieces in Geneva during SIHH 2016, added to its ultra-complicated Recital collection a watch that is positively cosmic in its level of complexity: the Bovet Recital 18, aka "The Shooting Star." It combines a five-day tourbillon, a hemispheric worldwide time function, a compact 24-cities indicator on rollers, a hemispheric moon-phase display, and a jumping hour with retrograde minutes.

Roger Dubuis has revealed that its theme at SIHH 2016 will be "The Year of the Diva," with new product releases almost solely restricted to its Velvet collection of haute horlogerie ladies' watches. However, the brand's many male fans will still find at least one new timepiece made with them in mind: the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Automatic Skeleton Carbon.
