Wempe Launches Third Model of “Signature Collection” with Girard-Perregaux

Global watch and jewelry retailer Wempe launches the latest iteration of its “Signature Collection” with Girard-Perregaux. The “Signature Collection” is a series of limited-edition and exclusive timepieces created in collaboration with the world’s finest watchmakers and available only at Wempe. The latest release with Girard-Perregaux, a 42mm Laureato Chronograph crafted from 904L stainless steel, features a striking new copper-colored dial with the signature Clous-de-Paris pattern that creates a stunning play with light. The baton-shaped hour markers and the hour and minute hands are also coated in luminous gold.

The tricompax layout with the small seconds at 3 o’clock, the minute counter at 9 o’clock and the hour counter at 6 o’clock is complemented by a color-coordinated date window between 4 and 5 9 o’clock. To provide a high contrast, the sub dials are snailed, making them easy to read. Thanks to a luminescent coating, the dial omits a green light in the dark.

Water-resistant to 100 meters, the case has a diameter of 42mm and is 12.1mm thick. Girard-Perregaux’s self-winding Caliber GP03300-2361 sets the pace behind the closed case back. The manufacture movement beats at 4 Hz and has a power reserve of 46 hours.

“We are thrilled with the new Wempe Signature Laureato,” says Kim-Eva Wempe, Owner and Managing Director of Wempe. “The eye-catching color combination of the warm copper dial with the cool grey hue of the stainless-steel bracelet really makes this watch feel special. It has a modern look, yet at the same time, still stays true to the original design of the 1970’s.”
