Time to Travel: Breitling Introduces Chronomat Automatic GMT 40

Breitling recently announced that it is expanding its Chronomat collection of pilot watches with a new member, the Chronomat Automatic GMT 40. It is presented in a versatile stainless steel case that is water-resistant to 200 meters, just 11.77mm thick, and available with a black, blue, green, anthracite, or white dial. Each of them features a color-coordinated 24-hour scale on the flange.

In typical Chronomat style, the debutante is equipped with a Rouleaux bracelet. It is powered by Breitling’s caliber 32, based on ETA 2893-2. Like all movements from the Swiss brand, it earns a chronometer certificate from the Swiss C.O.S.C. institute. This self-winding movement ticks behind a closed case back.

The new Chronomat Automatic GMT 40 retails for $5,600.
