Sponsored: Introducing the Yema Superman Bronze CMM.10 Limited Edition

After 3 years of development, the French watchmaker YEMA presents its new 3-hand Manufacture caliber with modern architecture featuring chronometric precision, 70-hour power reserve and high resistance to magnetic fields and shocks via the new Superman Bronze CMM.10 Limited Edition. In line with the brand’s crowdfunding approach to finance their Manufacture calibers R&D, on November 10th YEMA will launch a new Kickstarter campaign to present the first Superman Bronze models equipped with the new CMM.10 caliber.

The Return of Moby Dick

In 2019, the first Superman Bronze in history was released with the aim of supporting an oceanographic mission studying a family of 30 sperm whales from the Indian Ocean over several years.

After hundreds of dives, scientists have deciphered the kinship links of this family and established a family tree spanning 4 generations. This large family is unique, each member is an individual with a character of its own. As with humans, each individual develops their own personality. These ultrasensitive and delicate wild mammals have their own language and demonstrate great intelligence, kindness and solidarity with each other.

Following the success of this scientific mission, an evolution of the iconic Superman Bronze model equipped with the very latest Manufacture CMM.10 caliber, was designed in collaboration with François Sarano, famous French oceanographer and founder of the NGO Longitude 181. This marine protection association pursues this sperm whales scientific mission, now in Mediterranean waters.

Enhanced Bronze Case & Double Dome Sapphire Crystal

Designed for diving professionals, the bronze case of the new Superman watches is available in 39mm and 41mm, with the silhouette distinguished by its high-quality brushed/polished finishes which preserve a unique vintage appearance. Depending on its use and exposure to weather conditions, bronze will patina differently and make each watch unique and authentic.

This collectible timepiece is equipped with a high-quality double-domed sapphire crystal measuring 2.20 mm in height, offering better readability, increased resistance and once again channeling a familiar vintage style.

Upgraded Dials “Manufacture Française”

Available in gradient blue and lacquered black dials, the iconic Superman Bronze dials now proudly display French mentions and the new MANUFACTURE FRANÇAISE signature at 6 o’clock to reflect YEMA’s new positioning following the internalization of the manufacturing of components for the CMM.10 caliber.

The classic Superman hands have been slightly refined, and the iconic “shovel” second hand has been replaced by a lollipop sweep hand to provide an enhanced overall balance.

Professional Dive Watch Bezel & Grade A Super-Luminova

The rotating bezel stands out both for its complex design and for its quality of finish. It is entirely made of bronze, its circular brushed finish elegantly contrasts with the case vertical brushed finish. This newly manufactured bezel features unidirectional rotation, a 0-60 count up graduation and a luminescent marker at 12 o’clock treated in Grade A Super-LumiNova (same as the hands and markers), essential features for professional divers.

30 Bar Sapphire Display Case Back Limited Edition 1948

The exhibition case back sapphire crystal reveals YEMA’s new CMM.10 Manufacture caliber while securing a 30 BAR (300m/990 feet) water resistance. Each case back is engraved with a unique serial number and Limited Edition number.

Tropic FKM Viton® Rubber Integrated Bracelet

Specially designed for the Superman Bronze CMM.10, this Tropic integrated bracelet made in RUBBER FKM VITON® has been designed for intensive use in all extreme conditions thanks to its light, flexible, dust repellant and very resistant VITON® material. The bracelet is equipped with an elegant, high-quality buckle in IP bronze.
