Sinn Spezialuhren Flies Back to Its Roots with 103 St Ty Hd (With Live Photos)

The watches that particularly represent Sinn Spezialuhren are the timepieces from the 103 model series, a collection of classic pilot chronographs born in the mid-1960s. Fans of the German watch brand may recall that during the early days some of these were equipped with acrylic glass and a manual winding movement.

The new 103 St Ty Hd, a contemporary tribute to its historical predecessors, also features a hand-wound caliber and an acrylic glass back to protect the dial.

Powered by the Sellita SW 510 M, the 103 St Ty Hd has a black dial with a tricompax layout, with the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock and the subsidiary seconds at 9 o’clock. Thanks to their light yellow color, the sub-dials can be read at a glance.

Luminous coating on the hands and markers ensures excellent readability in all lighting conditions. There is also a tachymeter scale on board for measuring speed, placed on an inner ring around the periphery of the dial.

The stainless steel case has a diameter of 41 mm and is pressure-resistant up to 20 bar. The 103 St Ty Hd is sold with two leather straps.

Pricing is marked at approximately $2,800 when converted to USD.
