Showing at WatchTime New York 2023: H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic

H. Moser & Cie., one of the most praised Swiss independents around, is set to join the WatchTime New York 2023 event, now only a few short weeks away. The three-day event, taking place in the heart of Manhattan at Gotham Hall from October 20th to 22nd, promises an exquisite showcase of timekeeping excellence from over thirty participating brands. And as part of this year’s festivities, H. Moser will present one of its most important models of the year in its version 2.0 of the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic.

The new Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic is second-generation of the brand’s chronograph, following the initial introduction of the design in 2020. Once again embodying the Streamliner’s uniquely minimalist and fluid design and representing the unique brand’s modern interpretation of a chronograph watch, the watchmaker aimed with the model to improve it slightly with its cutting-edge production capabilities. As such, the new iteration has been updated with a transparent logo and more contemporary anthracite finishes on the ingenious chronograph movement.

On the wrist, the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic 2.0 boasts a stainless steel construction in a pillow-shape that’s capped by a slightly domed sapphire crystal, radiating a diameter of 42.3mm with a height of 14.2mmn. This creatively designed case incorporates chronograph push-buttons at 10 and 2 o’clock and a distinctive screw-down crown adorned with an engraved “M” at 4 o’clock. Notably, the timepiece features a dynamic water resistance of up to 12 ATM, or about 120m, allowing the watch to effortlessly transition from land to underwater adventures. The integrated steel bracelet, featuring a folding clasp with three steel blades engraved with the Moser logo, additionally ensures a very distinct style in wear alongside a refined comfort.

The dial of the new H. Moser, like the previous 2020 edition, presents a mesmerizing Funky Blue fumé pattern with a sunburst finish. Signature Streamliner hands are at work for the running hour and minute indicators, each featuring Globolight inserts for enhanced visibility, while a running seconds and red chronograph seconds hand accompany the duo. Around the dial a stylized minute track elegantly tracks elapsed seconds and minutes, with a curved outer flange adds a touch of familiar chronograph functionality via a tachymetric scale.

Powering this timepiece is the exceptional H. Moser & Cie. Calibre HMC 907, a self-winding movement developed in collaboration with Agenhor. With a diameter of 34.4 mm, this movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. It features bi-directional winding, a tungsten oscillating weight positioned between the movement and the dial, and a double barrel for a minimum power reserve of 72 hours. The movement’s bridges and main plate are adorned with anthracite grey rhodium-plating and Moser stripes angled at 45°. The Streamliner’s chronograph functionality is nothing short of a marvel of engineering by the brand, with a column wheel mechanism, two-stage mechanism, and a horizontal clutch with friction wheel. The movement is visible with all its refined finishing via a sapphire exhibition caseback.

The new H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic version 2.0 is available now via the brand’s boutiques and authorized partners, with pricing marked at CHF 45,000, or a little over $50,000 USD at the time of writing.
