And this was just the first of many versions of the Radiomir produced by Officine Panerai. The company updated the model and added features during World War II and in the years afterward. Collectors also seek out another famous model from Officine Panerai: The Luminor. The first Panerai Luminor was launched in the 1950s, with many other models to follow. The early Panerai Luminor guaranteed an eight-day power reserve and used a tritium-based luminous substance on the dial and hands. In the 1990s, Sylvester Stallone became a Panerai fan while shooting a movie in Italy. Shortly afterward, a new Panerai Luminor model made its debut, bearing the movie title and the actor’s nickname: the Luminor Daylight Slytech.
