Tudor Fastrider Black Shield at Baselworld (video)

150Tudor, Rolex’s line of more affordable watches, is getting ready for its comeback to the United States this summer and had several new pieces on display at Baselworld. Among the brand’s new watches was the Fastrider Black Shield.

Inspired by Ducati motorcycles, the Black Shield features a monobloc case in black matte ceramic with red accents. The scratch-resistant “monobloc” case is produced as a single piece of high-tech injected ceramic, instead of ceramic applied as a coating to another material. The 42-mm case houses an automatic chronograph movement with a power reserve of approximately 46 hours, and is water-resistant to 150 meters.

The dial and bezel are accentuated by red details, including the red Tudor seal at the 12 o’clock position. The watch is available with either a rubber strap or a leather strap with red stitching. An alternate version of the watch features bronze details instead of red.

To celebrate the launch of the watch, Tudor has collaborated with Ducati to customize the one-of-a-kind Diavel Carbon motorcycle with the same matte black-and-red color scheme as the watch.
