Sponsored: DWISS Launches M3 Limited Editions with “Displaced Hours” Time Display

Following up on the M1 from 2011 and M2 from 2016, DWISS is launching its newest watch collection, the M3. The M3 is an evolution of the previous two collections, updated with an unusual new time display that DWISS calls “displaced hours.”

This new collection is particularly noteworthy in that it has not been designed solely by the founder and designer of the brand, but in collaboration with the 100 members of the DWISS Watch Design Club, a concept unique to the brand. The Club was founded by DWISS with the aim of encouraging its members to participate together in the entire creation process of a watch. Members pay a monthly fee and at the end of 12 months receive the watch they have helped to create during this period. If you want to learn more about the creation of the M3, you may check out the 2020 Watch Design Club at the DWISS website.

Like all previous DWISS watch models, the M3 is also available, as of today, in a limited-edition series for non-Club-members. Only 500 pieces will be ever made. But enough about the new watch’s background; let’s get into what matters: the watch itself.

Encasing its ETA 2824-2 Elaboré caliber is a 42-mm-diameter, 316L stainless-steel case made in Switzerland. On the top of that workhorse Swiss movement lies a multi-layered dial with the novel “displaced hours” time display, in which the hour markers are relocated to the larger, outer circumference of the dial, simply because the hours take the longest to pass. Hours are then followed in other concentric circles by the minutes and the seconds. The hands use Super-LumiNova BG-W9 and the date is indicated by a red oval pointer that jumps around another concentric scale on the dial. Securing the watch’s 20-ATM water resistance are a screwed-down crown and a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Last but not least, the watch has either an easily interchangeable, integrated rubber strap or a solid, 316L stainless steel bracelet.

To purchase one of the only 500 pieces of the M3 that will ever be made, just head over to www.dwiss.com/watchtime.
