Off we go! Blue skies, warmer temperatures, and breathtaking panoramas mean spring is here, and it’s best enjoyed outside. What could be better than to flee the grays of day-to-day life and recharge one’s batteries in the great outdoors?
The new SeaQ in a rich reed green colorway by Glashütte Original is perfectly suited for any adventure. The new model has been launched initially and exclusively in North America and will be available worldwide as of May 2021.
Part of Glashütte Original’s Spezialist collection, the SeaQ was created to exceed expectations and offers maximum reliability both above and beneath the water. Inspired by the first Glashütte diver’s watch, the famous Spezimatic released in 1969, the SeaQ models are stylish companions for enterprising initiatives of all types.
Glashütte Original’s distinctive style and its enduring tradition of quality are among the elements that allow its timepieces to make such a strong impression, as is evident in this most recent creation. Although designed to ensure safety at great depths underwater, the SeaQ is perfectly at home on land as well.
With German precision at its heart, the watch has passed the most rigorous tests required for certification as a professional divers’ watch. This sporty timepiece is compliant with the DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 standards for divers’ watches and thus meets both German and international standards of quality. Its water resistance of 200 meters (20 bar) ensures that the SeaQ is well equipped to handle variations in pressure – just like the sporting gentleman and active woman of today.
The case’s cool stainless steel, characteristic facets, and distinctive fluting lend sporty accents and provide a contrast to the shimmering, reed green dial. The reed green ceramic inlay of the rotatting bezel offers exceptional scratch resistance, while Super-LumiNova on the hands, numerals and indexes ensures optimal legibility under all lighting conditions.
Beating inside the SeaQ’s 39.5-mm stainless steel case is Glashütte Original’s manufactory automatic Caliber 39-11, which delivers precision, reliability, and resistance. The movement powers a stop-seconds function and a date display at 3 o’clock.
With the new SeaQ, Glashütte Original has created a loyal companion for the adventures of everyday life — a genuine Original. Priced from $9,000, it’s available with metal bracelet as well as rubber or synthetic strap: The choice of different straps makes it a simple matter to adapt the watch to the wearer’s individual style.
