Australian-Based BOW & STERN Introduces its First Automatic Dive Watch

BOW & STERN is a four-year-old Australian watch brand that has rapidly been gaining a foothold in the microbrand sphere. Its latest watch, which is the brand’s first automatic divers’ model and launched on Kickstarter last week, is a firm testament to the brand’s ideals, which are focused on quality, reliability, and staying 100% carbon neutral.

That’s right, with each sale of the new BOW & STERN ABYSS, a Blue Gum Eucalyptus tree will be planted in the Annya State Forest in Australia. BOW & STERN also provides a lifetime guarantee for each of their watches and will handle any repairs or part replacements necessary, just so you can remain comfortable with your purchase.

The design of each of the three new models — in matte black, brushed gold, and brushed silver — is highly minimalist and recalls the utilitarian focus of dive watches from the early 1960s. The 41.5 mm watches are water resistant to 200 meters thanks to the 2-mm thick sapphire crystal glass, screw-down crown, and hermetically-sealed caseback. The cases are crafted from brushed 316L stainless steel and finished with the brand’s anchor logo. Super-LumiNova has been used to illuminate the indexes, hands, and zero mark on the unidirectional bezel. There’s a white date window at 3 o’clock. Powering the watch is the robust NH35A movement that allows for hacking seconds and a 41-hour power reserve.

The BOW & STERN ABYSS is limited to 1,200 pieces and is priced at $329 USD. You can check it out for yourself here.

Bow and stern are unreachable can’t connect to their server online to purchase a watch no phone number nothing have they changed their name? I want to contribute in the eucalyptus project and buy a watch even through laybuy app which they are on you can’t go to their sight it’s very frustrating because I want to support an Aussie company by buying a watch..it’s impossible at the moment where are they please shoot me an email so I know what or when they will be selling watches again it’s a stressful mystery.
