Hublot Unveils Headphones at Baselworld Written byWatchTimeMay 1, 2013 There was at least one announcement from a major watch brand at Baselworld that involved a product other than watches. In a press conference, Hublot announced its collaboration with Monster, manufacturer of high-performance headphones. Together, the brands have created the Inspiration Hublot, a pair of noise-canceling “luxury” headphones. The lightweight, black, carbon-fiber over-ear headphones will be available this summer at Hublot boutiques and retailers worldwide. The advanced noise-canceling technology in Inspiration Hublot headphones is built around two discreet microphones. One handles constant sounds (like the droning inside a plane) and the other cuts out intermittent noises. The headphones have a brushed aluminum finish, rubber and leather headbands, and specially created carbon fiber earcups. Hip-hop artist and producer Swizz Beatz, who attended the press conference, will be Hublot’s celebrity partner in the new venture. “It’s an honor for Monster to team up with a great partner like Hublot. Monster is about setting the bar high and this partnership proves that. Sky is not the limit, it’s only the view!” noted Swizz Beatz, co-owner and member of Monster Advisory Board.
