Just a few months after introducing the Tsuyosa Shore collection, Citizen is expanding the lineup with a new limited-edition model that takes the concept in a darker, more vintage-inspired direction. While the first Shore models captured the relaxed mood of summer on the coast through bright colors, the new Tsuyosa Shore Limited opts for a more understated aesthetic, combining a textured black gradient dial with warm gold-colored accents. Limited to 12,000 pieces worldwide, it offers an appealing blend of style, everyday practicality, sporting credentials, and wearability.

Introduced in 2022, the original Tsuyosa has quickly become one of Citizen’s most successful mechanical collections. Its name is the Japanese word for “strength,” reflecting the collection’s robust construction and versatile character. With its integrated bracelet, clean lines, and approachable dimensions, the watch has become a popular choice for enthusiasts seeking an affordable mechanical watch with distinctive styling. The newest Tsuyosa Shore builds on that formula.

The 40mm stainless-steel case measures 12.4mm thick and offers 100 meters of water resistance. It is paired with the collection’s signature integrated three-link bracelet and fitted with a unidirectional rotating bezel featuring a gold-colored scale.

The textured black gradient dial adds visual depth, while gold-tone applied indexes echo the warm tones of the bezel. Luminous hands and markers ensure strong legibility, and a magnified date display at 3 o’clock enhances everyday usability beneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

Power comes from Citizen’s in-house automatic Caliber 8210, which also offers manual winding and a hacking seconds function. Beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 42 hours and is visible through the transparent caseback.

Available this month, the Citizen Tsuyosa Shore Limited, reference NJ0238-57E, is priced at $495.
