Doxa SUB 200T Afterglow Captures a Florida Sunset
Florida’s afterglow, captured in pink
The Colors of the Afterglow
Doxa has long used color as both a design signature and a functional element of its dive watches. The brand’s orange dials, introduced in 1967 with the original SUB, became a defining feature of its underwater instruments. With the SUB 200T Afterglow, Doxa explores a different part of the color spectrum, taking its inspiration not from the ocean but from the sky above Naples, Florida.
Developed in collaboration with Exquisite Timepieces, a longtime Doxa retail partner based in Naples, the limited edition draws on the brief period after sunset when the sky over the Gulf of Mexico takes on particularly vivid shades of pink, purple, and magenta. Known as the “afterglow,” this fleeting display of color gives the watch its name and provides the inspiration for its pink sunray-finished dial. Additional glow comes from the Super-LumiNova coating on the hands and hour markers, which ensures legibility in low-light conditions.

DoxaFamiliar Dive-Watch Credentials
Beneath its unusual but nevertheless charming color scheme, the SUB 200T Afterglow retains the compact proportions and established specifications of the collection. Its 39mm case is made of 316L stainless steel and measures 10.7mm thick, with a 41.5mm lug-to-lug distance. A flat sapphire crystal with antireflective coating protects the dial, while a screw-down crown and caseback help provide 200 meters of water resistance. A unidirectional rotating bezel supports dive-time measurement.
Power comes from the automatic Sellita SW200-1 in Élaboré grade, decorated by Doxa. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz, the movement provides a 38-hour power reserve.
