Breitling and Watches of Switzerland are expanding their partnership with two Navitimer models available exclusively through the retailer. Unveiled in the United States at Watches of Switzerland’s SoHo boutique in New York, the watches share a combination of stainless steel and 18-karat yellow gold but take different approaches to the familiar Navitimer design. The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 emphasizes the collection’s highly technical heritage, while the Navitimer 32 translates its aviation-inspired styling into a women’s watch.

A Green-and-Gold Take on the Navitimer

The Navitimer has been part of Breitling’s identity since 1952, when it was introduced as a wrist-worn navigation instrument for professional pilots. Its circular slide rule, technical dial, and chronograph functions established a distinctive design language that continues to define the collection today.

The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 retains these familiar features while introducing a fresh combination of colors and contrasting metal finishes. Its 43mm stainless-steel case is paired with an 18-karat yellow-gold bezel and a rich green dial. The matching seven-row bracelet combines both metals, with alternating polished and brushed surfaces adding further contrast. The circular slide rule and three-register chronograph layout preserve the instrument-like character that has distinguished the Navitimer for more than seven decades.

Inside, Breitling’s manufacture Caliber 01 delivers the mechanical performance. This COSC-certified, self-winding movement combines a column wheel with a vertical clutch for precise, reliable chronograph operation. Beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it provides a power reserve of more than 70 hours.

The chronograph measures elapsed time to one-quarter of a second, up to 30 minutes and 12 hours, and offers a date display at 6 o’clock. Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the movement’s design is on full display.

The Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43, reference DB01381A1L1D1, is priced at $17,500.

The Navitimer 32 takes a more jewelry-oriented approach. Measuring 32mm in diameter and 8mm thick, its case also combines stainless steel with an 18-karat yellow-gold bezel, while a sunray-finished mint-green dial introduces a softer color contrast. Framed by a beaded bezel, it makes an elegant backdrop for the diamond hour markers. The two-tone bracelet carries the same mix of steel and gold onto the wrist. Water resistance is rated to 50 meters.

The watch is powered by the Breitling Caliber 77, a COSC-certified SuperQuartz movement with a battery life of three to four years.

The Navitimer 32, reference D77320E71L1D1, is priced at $9,450.
