Tissot Introduces the First Quartz PRX Chronograph
The PRX chronograph goes quartz for $525
The PRX gets a new family member. With the PRX Quartz Chronograph, Tissot brings chronograph functionality to the angular integrated-bracelet design that has become one of the brand’s most recognizable contemporary watches. The 41mm barrel-shaped stainless-steel case retains the collection’s characteristic slim, tapered profile, while shaped pushers are integrated into its sides. Inside, a quartz chronograph movement provides precise timing and a date display at 4 o’clock.

A Design Dating to 1978
The PRX story began in 1978, when Tissot introduced a model as part of its Seastar line, which then comprised the brand’s water-resistant watches. The design combined a slim case and integrated bracelet with sharp angles and brushed steel surfaces. The original watch was engineered for everyday durability, with a case designed to protect the movement against dust, shock and humidity. A robust mineral crystal and antimagnetic properties added to its practical character. The PRX name itself had previously been associated with a sturdy sport model and would later become synonymous with this distinctive design.

High Functionality
For the new PRX Quartz Chronograph, Tissot retains the familiar architecture, adding two chronograph pushers to the 11.65mm-thick case which is distinguished by polished and satin-finished surfaces and has a water-resistance rating of 100 meters. A sapphire crystal protects the vertically brushed dial with circled counters, while Superluminova-coated baton hands and indexes ensure legibility. The date is positioned at 4 o’clock, and the integrated bracelet features Tissot’s Quick Release system.

Three Dial Colors
Tissot offers the PRX Quartz Chronograph in three versions. The silver dial combines its tone with rose-gold-colored indexes for a warmer look. The black version uses nickel-colored indexes and creates stronger contrast around the chronograph counters. The blue dial emphasizes the vertical brushing, with the surface changing appearance as it catches the light.
