For 65 years, Sinn Spezialuhren has built its reputation on functional clarity, technical innovation, and robust construction. To celebrate this milestone, the German manufacturer introduces the 903 Ti II Anniversary, a navigation chronograph limited to 500 pieces. Drawing directly from the historic 903 J created for the brand’s 35th anniversary 30 years ago, the new model preserves the unmistakable dial design while advancing it through modern materials and construction methods.

At the heart of this evolution is the case. Measuring 41mm in diameter, the polished and satinised case is crafted from high-strength Grade 5 titanium, chosen for its lightness, durability, and resistance to corrosion. A key technical feature is Sinn’s DSP Technology, which enables the rotating bezel with the inner logarithmic scale for flight-related calculation to be operated directly at the outer diameter of the watch. Despite this dynamic construction, the case achieves a pressure resistance to 20 bar, along with low-pressure resistance, underscoring the brand’s long-standing expertise in sophisticated case engineering. Sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a transparent sapphire case back offers a view of the movement.

The navigation chronograph’s function-driven character is evident on the electroplated dark blue dial with sunburst decoration. The bezel’s logarithmic scale and slide rule function allow calculations relating to speed, distance, fuel consumption, or even currency conversions. The tricompax layout with galvanically rhodium-plated sub-dials reinforces the classic aviation-inspired appearance, while ensuring clear legibility, thanks to Superluminova coating also in the dark. By integrating the pigments directly into the ceramic components, the watch achieves exceptionally high luminous intensity, ensuring excellent readability in low-light conditions.

Powering the chronograph is a self-winding column-wheel chronograph movement based on the LJP L110, finely decorated, personalized and designed for long-term reliability. Beating with 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour it offers a second stop function, a power reserve of 60 hours and is protected from magnetic fields.
