Introducing the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph 42 mm
Bicolor design with a warm brown dial
With the new Laureato Chronograph 42 mm, Girard-Perregaux continues to evolve one of its most emblematic collections, balancing heritage-driven design with contemporary execution. Limited to 50 pieces, this latest interpretation revisits the two-tone aesthetic that defined much of 1970s watch design, yet does so with notable restraint and modern refinement.
Laureato Chronograph
Girard-PerregauxThe star of the show is the brown dial, rendered with a Clous de Paris hobnail pattern that adds incredible texture and depth. Its warm, nuanced tone interacts elegantly with the pink gold accents of the octagonal bezel, crown, and chronograph pushers. In changing light, the dial reveals a spectrum ranging from rich chocolate to softer bronze undertones, reinforcing the watch’s understated yet sophisticated character. Applied rose gold hour markers and matching hands, both treated with luminescent material, ensure clarity while maintaining the cohesive color scheme. To enhance readability and highlight the functions, the sub dials are snailed, contrasting with the background.
Laureato Chronograph
Girard-PerregauxWater-resistant to 100 meters, the 42mm case is crafted from 904L stainless steel, chosen for its enhanced corrosion resistance and distinctive sheen. Measuring 12.16mm in height, it retains balanced proportions on the wrist, aided by the ergonomic integration of a brown rubber strap. This strap, also embossed with a Clous de Paris motif, subtly echoes the dial while offering a contemporary alternative to the traditional metal bracelet— shifting the watch’s personality further toward a sport-luxury expression.
Caliber GP03300
Girard-PerregauxPowering the watch is the manufacture caliber GP03300, an automatic chronograph movement that reflects the brand’s technical expertise. Operating at 4 Hz with a minimum power reserve of 46 hours, the movement comprises 419 components and 63 jewels. Visible through the sapphire case back, it is decorated with a range of traditional finishes, including Côtes de Genève, perlage, beveling, circular graining, and engraved details. Pricing is marked at €26,500 or approximately $31,000 when converted to USD.
